| Does anyone else live in an area that takes day or weekend bus trips with the seniors to gamble at casinos. I've always found it somewhat odd, but most of them seem to enjoy it. I can only imagine all the little white topped heads a the slots in rows, lol.

| My area has these and also for anyone who wants to go. It's a good way for a group to go to Foxwoods for the day without having to take several cars and it's cheap, too. I haven't heard of weekend trips in my area but there are a couple companies that do the day trips.

My Grandparents always used to go on these sort of Gambling trips, every time it was being offered to them. Neither was just going for gambling however, but also for the food and special events etc.
They always had a lot of fun with them, and I don't think they ever lost too much money.

| I went on once and it wasn't just for seniors. It was a pretty good deal. It cost $17 for the rountrip bus fair, and you got $10 back when you arrived at the casino. Plus a coupon book with 1/2 priced meals and such.

Wow, a not just for seniors bus trip to the casinos? Call me ignorant if you like, but this is the very first time I have head of some sort of organized trip like this which was not aimed exclusively at the seniors crowd. Definitely something I will need to keep in mind for the future!

| There are a couple of different bus companies around here that will take you to Reno. (Which is about a 1 1/2 hour drive from here.) The casinos pay the bus companies to bring you, and I think they give comps to the bus driver. All you have to do here is show up and be over 21!

I'm chuckling at the idea of my 91 year old granny making the trek to the casino and playing the slots. Makes you wonder if they sit around the buffet and kevetch about how nice casinos were before the slot machines were computerized.

| We have ones through the senior center mostly for seniors (and other older folk) and ones through the community center for everyone. Its really reasonable (although I imagine its going up). Normally if you live close to any attractions community centers, rec centers, and adult ed have trips like this all the time.
