Does anyone else in the forum like to watch Sumo wrestling? I was in Japan for a while and got hooked on it. The sport is so deep in tradition and ceremony that it is really interesting to watch. It does help to know the rules but even if you don't, the sport is incredible to watch.

There are few things that are so unpardonably neglected in our country as poker. The upper class knows very little about it. Now and then you find ambassadors who have sort of a general knowledge of the game, but the ignorance of the people is fearful. Why, I have known clergymen, good men, kind-hearted, liberal, sincere, and all that, who did not know the meaning of a "flush." It is enough to make one ashamed of the species. ~Mark Twain

| I can't say I've ever had the chance to watch Sumo wrestling, except maybe the Olympics or some other sort of special sports show on regular cable. It does look interesting though.

| I'm generally not particularly interested in trying to watch two behemoths try to dance ballet but if I happen to come across a match while channel surfing, I'll stop and watch. You are right though, it is sort of cool to see these huge guys do their thing.
