I just read a news story of the potential future increase in phone gambling. What will be the risks?
I am sure that they are working on things like the security but what of the basic risks-that you will lose the phone signal, and hence a bunch of money in a game?

| I imagine there will be some sort of "authorization" built in. Kind of like you place a bet, then authorize/submit/verify and you're not held liable until that has been done so that if you lose signal before then its not on you. It would change the table dynamics if people kept popping in and out though.

It wouldn't be so much that placing the bet and getting that authorised would be the problem, but staying in till the end of the round. You could place your bet, drop out immediately and then not be there to make the choice that would win you the round when the time comes.
More important would be having an easy way to log back in, to re-authenticate when you lose connection for some reason.

| I've never even heard of phone betting. Calling a bookie yes, but I doubt that's what you mean. I think that anything to do with the phone is slowly going out of style with the internet competing. I'd rather use the net than the phone.
