He has two amazing running prosthetics and eventually gained the right to compete along the able bodied athletes in the Olympics but he has to qualify first and the time is quite a bit faster than his best recorded time. I think it would be sad to be given the opportunity to miss out because he wasn't fast enough.

At the same time it would be pointless him being pushed through to compete when he isn't really capable, because then he'd lose and just prove nothing.

I think its wonderful that he has been permitted and I hope in time he is able to compete.

Amazing though isn't it, when you consider that the original objection to him was the "unfair" advantage those prosthetics supposedly gave him? I personally would love to see him in competition, it would finally be a world wide statement of equality for handicaps..

I wonder though if he should have his parking sticker revoked..? I mean if he can run the 400m.. Tongue
