The uproar and upset that has been caused by teams not wanting to release members for the Olympics has made me wonder. Should teams consider then recruiting only within their own country? Teams today are so full of foreigners, that it's hard to figure out what country a team is from sometimes (if you didn't already know ).

I always thought that an athlete had to be from the country that the team is representing. Is this not the case? If it isn’t then yes, they should recruit within their own countries.

I think they should recruit people from their own country as well. I am not too sure what you mean though, SofaSurfer. Do you mean like a Canadian going to play for Sweden or something?

| I don't mean national teams recruiting outside. I mean teams like those in the English premier league, and teams like Real Madrid. I mean look at David Beckham-the captain of the English national team plays for an American team!
