In the UK you find a fair few churches that have been turned over to over functions. The most bizarre of those that I have seen are churches that are now pubs or night clubs.

What about casinos though, are there any casinos that used to be churches?

I would imagine there could be should the building be cost effective and in a good location. There's alot of factories that have become apartments in the states due to their history and decent structure. many of which were awful places and have long bloody histories so if they can be made into pretty homes why not a den of sin in a holy place?

I dont think I have ever seen a church here converted into anything other than another church. I must say though it would be odd to sit in a past church now pub and drink a beer without feeling a little spooky.

It really is a little creepy sitting in a pew, drinking beer, looking at the pulpit. The booths are all pews race to face, the pulpit is behind glass now, and the church organ was turned into the bar. It's an amazing looking place, still with it's original stained glass, but one gets to feeling guilty.
