How do you make those choices, and fast? Is there a formula?


To answer your question straight, I always play the hands I have when I have at least a three of a kind or trio. When I only have a pair, I normally just give it up.

I would have to disagree SlickChick-gut instinct IS something that you are born with, it just may not be very good.


I think this subject have attracted many comments, but gut instinct is different in many areas. One of the baby's gut instinct is that the breast if the mother is his or her way of getting food. Now when it comes to gambling, I think this kind of gut instinct is learned and not a skill that people are born with.
