Online Bingo Operator of the Year nominees announced

The nominees for the prestigious Online Bingo Operator of the Year Award have been announced, with Foxy Bingo, Gala Bingo, Jackpot Joy, Wink Bingo, Sky Bet, and 888 ladies grabbing the well recognised slots.

While the Online nominations were announced so were the Offline Bingo Operator of the Year nominees – with Gala Bingo, Codere, Cirsa Bingo and Mecca Bingo ready to fight it out for the coveted award.

2009 has been a difficult year for the offline sector with online taking a large proportion of the market making future survival dificult for the traditional bingo halls. The classic sector of the industry has suffered under the competition from the online development, with one anonymous source giving a damning verdict on the International Gaming Awards:

“I've never even heard of these awards before. Gaming awards dinners seem to be cropping up every 10 days at the moment, mainly for the purpose of making the organisers lots of money.”
