Messi favourite to win World Player of the Year

Argentinean and Barcelona forward Lionel Messi is the stand-out favourite to win the FIFA World Player of the Year Award according to bookmaker Stan James. Messi is the 1/5 favourite ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo, 16/1, while previous Kaka is an outsider.
Barcelona pair Andres Iniesta and Xavi are ready to challenge their Barcelona team mate with Iniesta at 14/1 and the Catalan skipper is at 16/1.
