Police call for witnesses after William Hill suffers armed robbery

Police are calling for witnesses after a William Hill bookmakers in Miles Platting, Manchester was targeted by two armed men wearing dark clothes and facemasks at 7.45pm on December 15th. Brandishing a 40cm gun covered in grey tape, the men escaped with a quantity of cash

DC Anthony Strong, of Grey Mare Lane CID, said: "Although it would have been dark, it is a popular bookmakers and there may well have been customers who were leaving at the time who saw these two men acting suspiciously.

"If so, please call us as your information - no matter how trivial it might seem - could be crucial.

"Greater Manchester Police has helped secure some harsh sentences for people who carry guns, and I would like to send a message that if we do find those responsible they face a long time behind bars."
