Mystery winner scoops lottery prize

A mystery winner in Cheshire has scooped a massive lottery win without even picking up a ticket. The lucky winner, known only as Mrs C, won £168,127 by matching five main numbers and the bonus ball in the Lotto draw on October 31.

She had been playing the National Lottery both via its website, national-lottery.co.uk, and by Play by Text.

Lottery spokesman Simon Horne said Mrs C has become one of more than four million winners each week on their range of games.

He said: “Well done to Mrs C. She has banked this fantastic prize with just a few simple clicks and she didn’t even have to pick up a ticket.

"If you play interactively we not only check your numbers but also let you know you have won – it couldn’t be easier. Mrs C gave it a go and now she has joined The National Lottery winners club.”
