Omaha poker is a community card variation, similar to Texas Hold’Em. One major difference between Omaha and Texas Hold’Em is that players can use two out of four hole cards and three out of five community cards to create the perfect hand to take the pot. Also known as Omaha High, players still have the same betting options as before fold, check, bet, call, or raise. There are a few variations of Omaha itself including, limit, pot limit, and no limit.

The winner of the hand must have the best five card hand made of two hole cards and three community cards. In the instance that there is a tie, the pot is split between the players. Omaha starts with blind bets. There is another betting round after the 3-card flop, and the bets are doubled. The minimum bet remains double the initial bet, and the maximum bet raises are limited to 3 or 4. If there is a tie, the raises become limitless.
