Poker tournaments have swept through every possible environment. Professional and amateur players compete by playing poker in all its forms. Each table can have as few as two players and as many as 10 players during a tournament. In these tournaments, the winner will normally win all of the chips in the game. Other players are awarded prize money based on their time of elimination. Some events will stick to a certain mix of games which include, Hold’em, Omaha, Stud, and Dealer’s choice. However, most major tournaments stick with a form of stud poker or community card poker, like seven-card stud or Texas Hold’Em.

Some of the major poker tournaments are World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker, both of which are held in Las Vegas. The largest poker event in Europe is the European Poker Tour, which was founded in 2004 and is now the largest tournament in the world.
