Murray wins St Petersburg Open
Andy Murray has won the third ATP Title of his career by beating Fernando Verdasco 6-2 6-3 to win the St Petersburg Open. Murray is battling to qualify for the end of season Masters Cup, and the 20-year-old Scot is likely to make it to the tournament for the top eight players in the world if he performs well in the Masters Series in Paris.

Davydenko fined for 'not trying'
Nikolay Davydenko has been handed a $2000 fine for not trying hard enough during his 1-6 7-5 6-1 defeat by Croatia's Marin Cilic in the St Petersburg Open. The Russian eased through the first-set before enduring on a nightmare run of unforced errors - leading the match umpire to warn him for not trying.
