Wagner hits the right notes in Texas
Local hero Johnson Wagner fired nine birdies in the first round of the Crowne Plaza Invitational in Texas to take a two-shot opening day lead over Phil Mickelsen and Brett Wetterich. The Texan birdied four of the first seven holes and five of the last eight to continue the form that saw him win The Houston Open two months ago.

Federer through to Estoril Open quarters
Roger Federer, the world No1, eased passed Victor Hanescu of Romania 6-3, 6-2 in an hour to advanced to the quarter-finals of the Estoril Open.
