Singh gets the International team back into it at the Presidents Cup
Vijay Singh gave the International team some hope in the Presidents Cup with an excellent 5 and 4 win with partner Stuart Appleby over American duo Tiger Woods and Jim Furyk. The Americans still lead the competition by eight points to five, but Appleby and Singh are in buoyant mood at Royal Montreal Golf Club.

Weir ready for Presidents Cup
Mike Weir is relishing the chance to impress his home supporters in the Presidents Cup in his native Canada this week. The 37-year-old is the only Canadian representative in the international team which will take on the Americans at the Royal Montreal Golf Club.

Palmer backs Woods to beat Nicklaus' record
Arnold Palmer believes Tiger Woods can better Jack Nicklaus' record of 18 major victories. Woods, who was yesterday named as the PGA Player of the Tour for the ninth time in 11 seasons, won seven titles this term including his 13th major at the US PGA Championship. He is now preparing for the Presidents Cup, which starts on Thursday.
