Britain's Mark Cavendish won the fourth stage of the Giro d'Italia in a sprint finish in Catanzaro. Cavendish finished the 183km stage in four hours, 49 minutes and nine seconds to secure his first-ever Giro win.

Earnshaw set to seal a move to Forest
Robert Earnshaw will discuss a move to Nottingham Forest after Derby County accepted a bid from the City Ground club. Paul Jewell confirmed on Sunday evening that an offer had been accepted for Earnshaw and that was why he was left out of the squad to face Reading.

Premier League duo sign on for QPR
