Dallas close to Jones agreement
The Tennessee Titans have severed links with their suspended cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones, agreeing in principle to trade him to the Dallas Cowboys. Cowboys spokesman Rich Dalrymple confirmed the teams had an agreement, but that the deal had not yet been ratified by the NFL.

Garrad signs Jaguars deal
Quarterback David Garrad has pledged his future to the Jacksonville Jaguars after signing a seven-year deal worth $60million. The deal makes Garrad the highest paid player in the history of the franchise and is a major improvement on his original four year deal which saw him paid $2million a year.

Oakland sign Hall
The Raiders and DeAngelo Hall have agreed terms on a $70 million, seven-year contract that cleared the way for the former Pro Bowl cornerback to move from Atlanta to Oakland. Hall arrived in the Bay Area to meet with Raiders owner Al Davis, coach Lane Kiffin and other team officials on Wednesday and the deal was completed the following day.

Oden back in training
Greg Oden returned to training with the Portland Trail Blazers for the first time in six months after undergoing knee surgery. Oden, the seven-foot centre from Ohio State, was the number draft pick last year and finally made his return to practice on Wednesday ahead of the tie with the Sacramento Kings.

Wade ruled out for Heat
Dwayne Wade has been ruled out for the rest of the season after failing to recover from a knee injury. The All-Star guard and 2006 NBA Finals MVP, will be forced to miss Miami Heat's final 21 games of the year and will now undergo treatment in a bid to help him return in time for the new season.
