Of the three Heineken Cup matches played on Friday evening the best performance came at Ravenhill from Ulster who overturned a half-time score of 6-17 to Bourgoin to run out 25-24 winners. The result, however, had little effect on the Irish side's prospects of advancing past the group stage - they remain glued to the bottom of Pool Two.

London Wasps are still deciding whether to hand a life ban to the supporter who leant across the advertising hoardings to attack a Clermont Auvergne player with a matchday programme on Saturday. London Irish stun Dragons
London Irish produced a fabulous first-half performance in Wales to record an impressive 45-17 win over Newport-Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade. Tomas De Vedia grabbed a brace, while Mike Catt and Delon Armitage ran in two more tries in a pulsating opening half hour of rugby.
