Red Wings win tough game four for chance to claim Cup on home ice
The Detriot Red Wings held off Pittsburgh during a lengthy 5-on-3 power play and went on to beat the Penguins 2-1 Saturday night, taking a 3-1 lead in the Stanley Cup Finals. Detroit will get the first of three potential chances to hoist the Cup for an 11th time on Monday night at home in game five.

Detroit Red Wings take 2-0 playoff lead
The Detroit Red Wings continued to dominate their playoff series against the Pittsburgh Penguins by opening up a 2-0 series lead with a 3-0 home win.
Brad Stuart, Tomas Holmstrom and Valtteri Fippula were all on target as the Red Wings piled more misery on the Penguins, who have yet to score in the series.

Turco the hero as Dallas Stars keep series alive
Dallas Stars goaltender Marty Turco produced a stunning performance as his side beat the Detroit Red Stars 2-1 to cut their deficit in the Western Conference Finals to 3-2. Turco saved 38 shots and had a major hand in both of Dallas' goals to keep the series alive at the Joe Louis Arena.

A young Pittsburgh Penguins team have defied expectation by beating the New York Rangers and advancing through the NHL Eastern Conference Final for the first time in seven years. They will now face cross-state club Philadelphia Flyers to set up an all-Pennsylvanian affair.

Sharks bite back at Stars in Conference semi-final
San Jose Sharks secured a narrow 2-1 win over Dallas Stars to ensure they were not swept in the Western Conference semi-finals. Dallas still lead the best-of-seven series 3-1, however, and will look to complete the victory in San Jose on Friday night.

Flyers see off Capitals
The Philadelphia Flyers claimed a 3-2 win over the Washington Capitals as Joffrey Lupul netted a rebound during a power play over six minutes into overtime. The Flyers, who who had led 3-1 in the seven game series, lost their last two matches before clinching the final fixture to seal the win.
