Zenit St Petersburg will play in their very first European final after producing a stunning performance to dump pre-tournament favourites Bayern Munich out of the Uefa Cup.The Russian side cruised to a 3-0 win on the night, going through 4-1 on aggregate courtesy of the 1-1 draw they claimed at the Allianz Arena last week.

Bayern thrash Dortmund
Bayern Munich moved ten points clear at the top of the Bundesliga as they closed in on a 21st league title with a 5-0 win over Borussia Dortmund. The Uefa Cup semi-finalists took just 22 minutes to move into an unassailable four-goal lead against a shambolic Dortmund side.

Uefa Cup: Cosmin stuns Bayern
Cosmin Contra netted a last minute equaliser to give Getafe a priceless away goal in their 1-1 draw at Bayern Munich. The Spanish side seemed destined to leave the Allianz Arena with nothing after Luca Toni's eighth goal of the competition had given Bayern a first-half lead, but a rocket from the Romanian allowed Getafe to turn the tie on its head.

Kahn closes in on Bundesliga record
Bayern Münich goalkeeper Oliver Kahn could become the joint-third most experienced player at the top level in German football when he makes his 552nd appearance this weekend in the Bundesliga against FC Nürnberg. Kahn is already the most experienced goalkeeper, after surpassing Eike Immel's 534 games earlier this season.

Bayern hit Aberdeen for five
Bayern Munich brushed aside Aberdeen 5-1 in the last 32 of the Uefa Cup in the Allianz Arena. Early on Brazilian Lucio smashed home a free-kick to settle any nerves and Daniel Van Buyten's header doubled Bayern's lead.

Bayern move clear of Bremen in Bundesliga
Werder Bremen have lost 2-1 at Vfl Bochum to allow Bayern Munich to open up a three point lead in Germany's Bundesliga. In the first round of games after the winter break Daniel Jensen put Bremen ahead before half-time before Benjamin Auer equalised and Anthar Yahia scored the winner, while Bremen defender Naldo was sent off.
