Blackburn boss Paul Ince launched a scathing attack on referee Steve Bennett after the official failed to rule out Manchester United's opening goal at Ewood Park. Ince felt Wes Brown's opener should not have counted after Nemanja Vidic fouled Rovers keeper Jason Brown, but the goal was allowed to stand as United cruised to comfortable 2-0 victory.

Blackburn midfielder David Dunn has been ruled out of action for three months after being told he needs an operation on an Achilles injury. The 28-year-old has had a tough time with injuries and is now unlikely to play again in 2008, leaving Paul Ince without his vice-captain.
