Stojkovic set for Everton trial
Sporting Lisbon keeper Vladimir Stojkovic is due to start training with Everton on Wednesday as he hopes to secure a permanent move to Goodison Park. Stojkovic was supposed to arrive on Monday, but had to wait in Belgrade as he awaits his visa to enter England.

Everton receive stadium boost
Everton have received a major boost for their proposed new stadium in Kirkby after receiving unanimous backing from Knowsley Borough Council. The proposal, which was made jointly by Everton and Tesco, will now go before the government to decide whether an inquiry will be needed.

Anichebe makes Super Eagles starting debut
Everton's Victor Anichebe made his starting debut for Nigeria in their 1-1 draw with Austria on Tuesday. The young Everton forward, who had scored on his U-23 debut after snubbing an international career with England, followed that up with an impressive half for the Super Eagles.
