Trezeguet calls time on France career
France striker David Trezeguet has announced his retirement from international football after being left out of the Euro 2008 squad by coach Raymond Domenech.The 30-year-old Juventus forward, who famously scored the golden goal in the final of Euro 2000, was left at home as France failed to win a single game in Austria and Switzerland.

Tiago turns down Tottenham
Tottenham have reportedly failed in an £8m bid for former Chelsea midfielder Tiago Mendes. The Portuguese international is currently out of favour at Juventus, having only joined the Italian giants from Lyon in the summer for £9.5m.
