Hughes kicks off City reign in Faroe Islands
Mark Hughes' first competitive game in charge of Manchester City will be at the Vio Margair - EB/Sterymur's ground in the Faroe Islands - on July 17 in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Cup. The former Blackburn manager took charge of the club last month, following the sacking of Sven-Goran Erikkson.

Rangers satisfied with goalless draw with Fiorentina
A depleted Glasgow Rangers managed a goalless draw with Serie A Fiorentina at Ibrox in the first leg of the Uefa Cup semi final. But, as they showed in the quarter final against Sporting Lisbon, they are a potent force away from home and are confident they can do the business when the play in Italy next Thursday.
