Lorenzo undergoes surgery
Jorge Lorenzo has undergone surgery on his right arm after suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. The MotoGp series leader had the operation the day after winning his first elite class Grand Prix in Portugal on Sunday.

Lorenzo wins in Portugal
Jorge Lorenzo claimed the chequered flag at the Portuguese Grand Prix as he sealed his first Moto GP win. The Spaniard came home ahead of fellow countryman Dani Pedrosa while team-mate Valentino Rossi finished third.

Lorenzo takes MotoGP pole again
Jorge Lorenzo claimed his third successive pole position for the MotoGP event at Estoril in Portugal. The Spaniard has now been fastest in qualifying for all three MotoGP races this season, although he still trails Dani Pedrosa by five points in the championship standings.

Lorenzo on top as Toseland falls ill
James Toseland climbed off his sick-bed to produce a fine qualifying performance ahead of the Spanish MotoGP in Jerez, but the Briton was outshone by rookie Jorge Lorenzo, who destroyed the field and will start on pole position in Sunday's race. Toseland has been suffering from bronchitis but qualified eighth.

James Toseland has warned his MotoGP rivals that he will be challenging for top spot on the podium by the third race of the season. The double World Superbike Champion produced a stunning performance to qualify second for the season opener in Qatar before his Tech3 Yamaha bike was overtaken by the more powerful, factory-produced machines.

James Toseland insists that Spain should not be stripped of its Formula One Grand Prix after the Lewis Hamilton racism row. Two-time World Superbike champion Toseland has raced on the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, where Hamilton was abused last week.

Pedrosa seals Malaysian pole
Dani Pedrosa has clinched pole position in a dramatic qualifying session at the Polini Malaysian Grand Prix. The Repsol-Honda driver pipped World Champion Casey Stoner to top spot by 0.041 seconds. Pedrosa refused to get carried away by his strong qualifying round, insisting nothing has been achieved yet.
