Injury problems have not had a negative on players, says Warrington coach
Warrington Wolves coach Paul Cullen says his players have responded impressively to the double injury blow that rocked the club at the weekend. If losing to St Helens in the Challenge Cup was not bad enough, the Wolves also lost Stuart Reardon (achilles) and Paul Johnson (knee cruciate) for the rest of the season.

Sailor makes rugby league return
Controversial rugby star Wendell Sailor is set to return to rugby league after serving his two-year drugs ban for taking cocaine. Sailor, who won 37 caps and appeared in a World Cup final after switching to rugby union in 2002, is to join St George Illawarra Dragons until 2009.

Late drama sees Leeds oust Quins
Jamie Peacock broke the hearts of Harlequins with a winning try three minutes before full time for Leeds Rhinos in the fifth round of the Challenge Cup. In a breath-taking game at The Stoop, Quins came back from 24-4 down to score 22 unanswered points in the second half before Peacock went over.

Hull end brave Wigan challenge
Hull FC overcame Widnes Vikings 32-18 to book themselves a Challenge Cup quarter-final spot. The Super League side were only marginally better than their National League One opponents and this game was still very much up for grabs until late converted scores for Willie Manu and Adam Dykes.

Morley looking to end St Helens hoodoo

Hock signs on at Wigan
Wigan Warriors fans have at last been given something to cheer about after the club announced forward Gareth Hock has signed a further one year contract extension that will see him stay at the JJB Stadium until the end of 2011. The Warriors were trounced 57-16 by arch rivals St Helens at Millennium Magic last Saturday.

Morrison extends contract with Bradford
Bradford Bulls' back row forward Glenn Morrison has signed a contract extension to keep him with the club until the end of the 2009 season. The 31-year-old Australian has become a favourite at the Grattan Stadium since joining from Parramatta Eels in 2007, scoring 16 tries in his 37 appearances for the club.
