Chanderpaul stars as Windies defeat Sri Lanka in ODI
The first One Day International match of the series between the West Indies and Sri Lanka went down to the last ball in a thrilling finale. The Caribbean hosts needed a six of the last ball, bowled by the experienced Chaminda Vaas, and up stepped Shivnarine Chanderpaul and pulled the delivery for the maximum to win the game by one wicket.

Captain Malik helps Pakistan to ODI win over Zimbabwe
Pakistan have beaten Zimbabwe by 104 runs in Karachi in the first of five One Day Internationals. Captain Shoaib Malik hit a quickfire 63 to take his career total ODI runs past the 4,000 mark and he was assisted by half centuries from four other players, including debutant Nasir Jamshed, as the hosts made 347-5.

Wright signs on for three more years at Sussex
England one-day international Luke Wright has committed his short-term future to Sussex County Cricket Club. The all-rounder, who toured with England recently in Sri Lanka and is due to fly out for the forthcoming tour to New Zealand, has signed a two-and-a-half-year extension, meaning he will remain at the club until 2010.

Swann to miss ODI against Sri Lanka
Graeme Swann will miss England's final one-day international in Sri Lanka after tearing a hamstring. Collingwood ready for England
