Darren Bent showed there is life after Robbie Keane by scoring four goals as Tottenham cruised to a 5-1 victory over Norwich at Carrow Road. Irishman Keane earlier completed his £19m move to Liverpool, with strike partner Dimitar Berbatov - who travelled but did not play - rumoured to be interesting Manchester United.

Norwich sign Velasco
Norwich manager Glenn Roeder has completed the signing of former Spain international Juan Velasco on a short-term deal.The defender has been training with the Championship side since leaving Espanyol last year.

Hamilton cleared by FIA
Lewis Hamilton has escaped punishment for his role in Sebastian Vettel's crash with Mark Webber at the Japanese Grand Prix last week. The world championship leader had been under investigation for erratic driving behind the safety car that, it was alleged, contributed to the collision.

Hamilton takes Pole in Japan
Lewis Hamilton drew first blood in the Japanese Grand Prix after beating McLaren teammate Fernando Alonso to pole position. The British driver made light work of the difficult conditions at Fuji Speedway to beat Alonso with a lap of one minute 25.368 seconds.

Coulthard to pay tribute to McRae
David Coulthard will pay tribute to his friend and countryman Colin McRae at this weekend's Japanese F1 Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver will wear a helmet painted in the colours as worn by the late world rally champion, who was killed in a helicopter crash earlier this month.

Schumacher's F1 future in doubt
Ralf Schumacher is desperate for this Formula One season to come to an end so he can start afresh next year. The German has endured a difficult year with Toyota and yet to post a top-five finish. Schumacher is expected to quit the team in the summer and says he does not yet know where he will be racing next year.
