Gatland can be a Lion - Welsh chief
Warren Gatland has already discussed the possibility of taking on a coaching role with The British and Irish Lions on their tour of South Africa next year, it has been announced. But Roger Lewis, head of the Welsh Rugby Union board, is adamant that the Wales head coach will not take on a lead role within Ian McGeechan's setup.

McGeechan named British and Irish Lions head coach for South Africa tour
London Wasps coach Ian McGeechan has been named head coach of the British and Irish Lions tour to South Africa next year. It will be the fourth time that McGeechan has coached the Lions, and he was last at the helm in 1997, when his side were victorious in South Africa.

Gatland backs Jones as Lions captain
Warren Gatland believes his Wales Grand Slam captain, Ryan Jones, should be the British and Irish Lions skipper when they tour South Africa next season. But for Jones to secure the job Gatland thinks Wales need to match their Grand Slam exploits next year.
