Croatian captain Niko Kovac admits his side's attacking philosophy was their downfall as they went out of Euro 2008 on penalties to Turkey. The Croats took the lead in their quarter-final tie with a goal from Ivan Klasnic just 70 seconds from the end of extra-time, but Turkey equalised through Semih Senturk and won the shoot-out 3-1.

Croatia made it three wins from three in the group stage as they defeated Poland 1-0 in Klagenfurt.Slaven Bilic's side, who had already qualified for the last eight, wasted a whole host of chances before Ivan Klasnic slammed home a 53rd minute winner to kill off any hopes Poland had of beating Germany to second spot in the group.

Eduardo to travel to Euro 2008 with Croatia

Bilic: I don't want England job
Slaven Bilic insists he will never take over the role as Engand manager. The Croatian national coach, who enjoyed spells at both West Ham and Everton as a player, saw his team triumph 3-2 at Wembley to end England's hopes of reaching the European Championship Finals.
