GB&I remain in the hunt at the Seve Trophy
Great Britain and Ireland produced an excellent afternoon display in the Seve Trophy, despite a dreadful morning performance. They lost 3½-½ in the morning session but rallied in the afternoon to finish the day on 9½-8½ to Continental Europe.
Colin Montgomerie and Graeme Storm surrendered four straight holes to lose 3&2 to Robert Karlsson and Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano in the foursomes.
However, Justin Rose and Nick Dougherty led a spirited comeback by beating French duo Raphael Jacquelin and Gregory Havret 2&1.
Simon Dyson and Oliver Wilson avenged their morning defeat to Swede Peter Hanson and Dane Soren Hansen with a 3&2 win.
And Phillip Archer and Bradley Dredge maintained their unbeaten record with a two-hole victory over Markus Brier and Miguel Angel Jimenez.
