Bilic: I don't want England job
Slaven Bilic insists he will never take over the role as Engand manager. The Croatian national coach, who enjoyed spells at both West Ham and Everton as a player, saw his team triumph 3-2 at Wembley to end England's hopes of reaching the European Championship Finals.
The defeat signalled the end of Steve McClaren's reign, leaving many to link Bilic with the top job in English football.
But the former international defender admits he has no plans to leave his job with Croatia, while also expressing his sympathy for McClaren.
"It was nice to hear that English media have even calculated with my name, but I'd never accept such an offer
"Steve McClaren was not in a good position during the qualifying campaign for Euro 2008. He was missing many players, so he needed to improvise and also had a bad luck."
