Anderson wants a Porto Final
Manchester United star Anderson wants old club Porto to dump Liverpool out of the Champions League and make it through to the latter stages to set up a dream final in Moscow against his new club.
The Brazilian midfielder, who made the summer switch to Old Trafford from Porto, faces old foes Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League with United having won all four of their group games so far.
And the 19-year-old, who won two league titles including the domestic double during his time with Porto, is hoping his old team-mates can qualify for the knock-our rounds by sending Liverpool crashing out at the group stage.
"I cannot forget my time at Porto, they'll always be in my heart and I would love to play for them at the end of my career," he told O Jogo.
"I would love to meet them in the final of the Champions League. I had a wonderful time there and it would be great to see all my old friends again.
"I was pleased to help them to the league title before I left, but the
option to sign for United was too good to turn down.
"Now I'm looking to improve as a player and make myself into one of the best players in the world."
But after seeing his team lose their ten-match unbeaten run after a 1-0
defeat by Bolton on Saturday, Anderson is now focusing his attention on
Tuesday's clash with Lisbon.
"Sporting Lisbon are a great team with a lot of talented players and I'm sure we'll find it difficult," the midfielder said.
"It's going to be a big game just like it was at the Alvalade, but hopefully we'll get the win."
