Leeds ponder Boyd bid

Dennis Wise is poised to launch a £500,000 bid to bring Leyton Orient striker Adam Boyd to Leeds. Boyd, who arrived at Brisbane Road on a free transfer last summer, has scored 11 goals in all competitions and has helped Orient to the fringes of the League One play-off places.

The forward, who sat out Orient's game at Nottingham Forest on Saturday, is currently sidelined with a knee problem and is not expected to be fit for next Saturday's game against Luton.

But Wise is anxious to bolster his squad during the January transfer window with star striker Jermaine Beckford reportedly set for a move away from Elland Road.
