Spurs to hold Fred talks
Tottenham are poised to hold transfer talks with Lyon striker Fred in the next 48 hours as they look to tie up a deal for the Brazil international.Spurs currently lead the chase for the player but Manchester City, Middlesbrough and Portsmouth are also reportedly interested in tempting the 24-year-old to the Premier League.
Spurs are expected to pay up to £9million to secure Fred's services and the player's agent and brother Rodrigo has confirmed that talks are due to take place in the next couple of days with Tottenham director of football Damien Comoli.
"Yes we are due to meet with Damien Comolli, he will come with a new offer," Rodrigo told L'Equipe.
"If it [the offer] is good, Fred will sign for Tottenham."
