Rain defeats Australia and India
The weather was the ultimate winner as Australia and India saw their first Commonwealth Bank one day international in Brisbane washed out by rain. India were all out for 194, but Australia only made it to 51-3 before the game was forced to be called off.
Brett Lee was on fine form during India's innings as he took five wickets, while no Indian batsman made it to 40, Gautam Gambhir hitting 39 as he made the tourists higher score.
Australia saw their target altered twice as rain continued to fall, but after losing three wickets for six runs they were forced to settle for a draw as they looked to reach a target of 141 from 26 overs.
The three-team series, which also includes Sri Lanka, continues when India take on their sub-continental counterparts in Brisbane on Tuesday, before Australia face the Sri Lankans on Friday in Sydney.
