Mora to be next Seahawks Head Coach
Jim Mora has been named as the next Head Coach at Seattle Seahawks - but will not get the job until 2009. Mike Holgren will continue in the role this year, with Mora assisting and coaching the defence before taking over in 12 months.
Holmgren himself had urged Seattle to announce his successor and allow players approaching the end of their contracts to decide whether they wanted to stay.
"Jim is a talented coach who already had a measure of success in this league and has all the tools here needed to succeed," said Holmgren about the man who coached the Atlanta Falcons to the NFC Championship game in 2004.
