Sri Lanka beat India in Commonwealth Bank Series
Sri Lanka have taken their first victory of the Commonwealth Bank One Day series after beating India by eight wickets in Canberra. The game was badly affected by rain - which has blighted the series - but Sri Lanka reached their target of 154 within their allotted 21 overs, thanks to Tillakaratne Dilshan's 62.
The result leaves all three sides - including hosts Australia - with one win and a defeat each, although India have had two no results, compared to one each for the other sides.
India hit 195-5 in 29 overs, with Rohit Sharma impressing as he scored 70 from only 64 balls.
Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir and MS Dhoni all got going and reached 30 before falling as India posted a total that was slightly less than required.
Sri Lanka took only 19 overs to reach their revised target after another rain delay, with Mahele Jayawardene adding 36 from 35 balls to help his side home, although it was Dilshan who took the plaudits after producing some solid shots in his knock.
Sri Lanka take on Australia in Perth on Friday in the next match of the series, which has nearly a month left to run.
