Arsenal attempt to defy English clubs' poor record at the San Siro
Arsenal travel to the San Siro knowing they must beat reigning European Champions AC Milan - or get a score draw - if they are to progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League after their 0-0 draw in the first leg in London. And statistics show that English sides do not have a good record of gaining positive results in the stadium.
Of the 11 European Cup games played at the San Siro involving English clubs only one has been won - although the good omen for Arsene Wenger and his men is that they were the ones who acheived it, beating Inter 5-1 in 2003.
But the overall record is worrying for the Premier League leaders.
