Chambers completes comeback with a silver medal
Dwain Chambers won a silver medal for Great Britain in the 60m final at the World Indoor Championships in Valencia finishing behind Olusoji Fasuba. Chambers set a new personal best with a time of 6.54 seconds, just beating former world 100m champion Kim Collins on the line for the second podium spot.
Nigerian Fasuba was in brilliant form, storming to victory in a time of 6.51 secs, equalling his season's best.
It is the first medal Chambers has won since his return from a two year ban for failing a drugs test and the British sprinter did not know if this would be the beginning or end of his return to the track.
He said: "I will be celebrating this win, I know I cannot please everybody, but I won a medal for my country, what more can I say?
"I put myself under a lot of pressure, I wanted to go out there and win, I cam away with a personal best. I would like to have won but the better man won on the day.
"There may not be a comeback, I've said before this was my Olympic games and I have got a medal and I am happy. This is a chance for me to move forward and if not in athletics then I will have to pursue a career elsewhere."
