De Guzman called up to Dutch under-21 squad
Jonathan de Guzman has been called up to the Dutch Under 21 side for Wednesday's European Championship qualifier against Estonia. The Canadian born Feyenoord midfielder only recently acquired Dutch nationality and will be making his debut in international competition.
Wesley de Ruiter (FC Utrecht) and Tom Hiariej (FC Groningen) also received their first ever call-up to the U-21 squad.
De Ruiter will replace Vitesse goalkeeper Piet Velthuizen, who was selected for the Holland senior team by Marco van Basten. Holland have taken 12 points from their first four matches in their qualifying group.
