Bundesliga Round-Up

Lukas Podolski scored his first Bundesliga goal of the season to earn Bayern Munich a 1-1 draw away to Nuremburg as the league leaders took another step towards regaining the title. Elsewhere Bayer Leverkusen slipped to fourth after a 2-0 defeat at home to Eintracht Frankfurt, while Duisberg claimed a shock 2-1 win at Werder Bremen.

Bayern remain seven points clear at the top of the league with eight games left to play but Hamburg were unable to capitalise on the draw as they were held at home to Arminia Bielefeld.

They were reduced to ten men when David Jarolim saw red in the 66th minute, and were a goal down five minutes later when Markus Bollmann found the back of the net.

Their lead lasted only ten minutes as Jose Paulo Guerrero struck a priceless equalizer.

Schalke moved up to third after a goalless draw with Karlsruhe as they prepared for their Champions League quarter-final with Barcelona.

VFL Bochum and Borrussia Dortmond shared a six-goal thriller at the RewirPower Stadion as the hosts surrendered a two-goal lead.

Sebastien Kehl and Mladen Petric got the visitors back on level terms but Benjamin Auer put Bochum back in front.

There was more drama as Tinga bagged a 65th minute equalizer to share the spoils.
