Lorenzo takes MotoGP pole again

Jorge Lorenzo claimed his third successive pole position for the MotoGP event at Estoril in Portugal. The Spaniard has now been fastest in qualifying for all three MotoGP races this season, although he still trails Dani Pedrosa by five points in the championship standings.

Pedrosa, was two-tenths of a second behind his compatriot and will start from second place at Estoril, while Valentino Rossi completes the front row.

British rider James Toseland qualifed in sixth position, more than a second off the pace of Lorenzo, with Nicky Hayden and Colin Edwards also on the second row.
