Win over Barnett will relaunch my career - Harrison

Audley Harrison is adamant he can relaunch his career with a win over Jason Barnett this week - and keep fighting until he is 41. The former Olympic gold medalist has failed to turn his superb amateur record into a successful professional career - culminating in a third round knock-out defeat to Michael Sprott last February.

But even at the age of 36, Harrison believes he can win a world title - and has set his sights on a mouthwatering clash with David Haye.

"I am 36, but I am a fresh young guy," he insisted. "I have not even started yet and I still have a lot of fire in me.

"Me against David Haye would be a huge fight which would need somewhere like Wembley. But we both need to go and get world titles before we get that on.

"At the moment, the key for me is taking the right fights and the right opportunities."

Audley Harrison can possibly win, even at the age of 37. That said, he is far from being in his prime for a sport such as boxing. Once you get over 30, especially into your late 30's, much of your passions and energy begins to deteriorate. Hopefully he can prove people wrong, and pull off some excellent fights.
