Hleb admits violent conduct charge

Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb will miss the rest of the season after admitting a charge of violent conduct. The Belarus international, who will now serve a three-match suspension, was charged for striking Reading's Graeme Murty during Arsenal's 2-0 win at Emirates Stadium last Saturday.

"The incident was not seen by referee Peter Walton," said an FA statement.

"Having now watched video footage, Walton has informed the FA that, had he seen it, he would have shown Hleb a red card for violent conduct."

Hleb will now miss Monday's fixture at Derby as well as the final two games of the season against Everton and Sunderland.

Well I think its great that they did catch it, even if it were after the game. Sportsmanship needs to be enforced so that the players understand that disrespecting each other isn't cool. We need to learn to work as a team, and respect the other team and the refs, not beat each other up.
