Twice Over to bypass Guineas
Connections of leading 2000 Guineas fancy Twice Over have ruled the colt out of this season's second Classic. Henry Cecil's three-year-old won the Craven Stakes last week and is unbeaten in his three competitive starts.
Despite that success, Prince Khalid Abdullah has decided not to aim his charge at the Newmarket showpiece in ten day's time.
In a statement, his racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe said: "After consulting with Henry Cecil, Prince Khalid has decided that the colt will miss the 2000 Guineas and run in the totesport.com Dante Stakes at York with a view to going to the Vodafone Derby."
