Paice: London Irish don't fear Toulouse

London Irish hooker David Paice insists his team-mates do not fear French giants Toulouse. The Exiles take on three-times winners Toulouse in the club's first ever Heineken Cup semi final at Twickenham on Saturday.

Paice, whose pin point throwing has helped Irish develop one of the most feared line outs in Europe, says Brian Smith's team will stand firm against the tournament favourites.

"Toulouse are an incredibly exciting team and play the kind of rugby we respect. We don't fear them though," he said.

"They're one of the top teams in Europe. We will take the underdog tag but it doesn't mean much when you get out on the pitch."

The 24-year-old's line-out partnership with second rows Nick Kennedy and Bob Casey, along with his mobility around the pitch, has brought Paice to the attention of the England selectors.

He made his Saxons debut last year but is desperate to break into the senior squad.

"I think I'm good enough to play international rugby," he said. "There are a few things to work on but I feel I'm getting better all the time.

"There are a lot of changes that have happened and I'd love to get my chance with the new set up."
