Khan to fight in Birmingham in June
Amir Khan's next fight will be at Birmingham's National Indoor Arena on June 21, it has been announced. The opponent for the 21-year-old, who has won each of his 17 professional fights so far, has not been announced, but the bout marks the next stage of his quest for a world title.
The 2004 Olympic silver-medallist, who hails from Bolton, has not yet boxed in Birmingham, and insists he will put on a show in front of the midlands audience, similar to the one he produced last time out against Dane Martin Kristjansen, who he stopped in seven.
"I'm excited that my next fight will be in Birmingham," said Khan.
"I'm getting better and better with each fight and my last fight against Kristjansen, which I believe was my most complete performance yet, proved how far I have come in a short period of time.
"Of course there is still plenty of things that I need to improve on in the gym but I feel that I am on the right track to win a world title."

You know what? I actually am looking forward to this fight a lot, even though I have no clue on who his opponent will end up being. Maybe there will be a pleasant surprise on the opposing fighter, but you should expect an interesting fight at the least.
