Chambers injures shoulder on debut for Castleford
British sprinter Dwain Chambers suffered a painful rugby league debut when he turned out for the Castleford Tigers reserve side against York. Chambers. The 30-year-old joined the Tigers on trial in an attempt to gain a contract for the rest of the season.
Chambers' presence helped to attract a crowd of over 3,200, meaning the kick-off had to be put back by 15 minutes. Overall he had four spell on the pitch before he injured a shoulder making a desperate try-saving tackle.
"I'm sure I'm going to be aching tomorrow, but I'm still smiling and I loved every moment of it," he said.
"I'll definitely be back and I appreciate people coming down to support me."

Hopefully his commitment to the extent of injuring himself will snag him that contract. Sounds like an asset for the team what with the crowd and his obvious love of the game.
